Analysis of Opening Sequences

I have been analysising the opening sequence of 3 films:
  • Terminator 2: Judgement Day
  • Die Hard With A Vengence
  • Shaft

I have been looking at different techniques used in these 3 opening sequences, and what effect they have on the overall movie and the audience. If the opening sequences of the movie do not appeal to audience then they might lose interest in the movie overall and it could have a negative influence on the mood for the whole film. If they are watching on TV, for example, they may switch channel and watch something else, or give negative reviews to friends if they see it on DVD or at the cinema, which would not be good for the movies takings.

    Some good ideas based on research, Steve. As you are working on your own you really need to get your organisation right to make sure you have time for construction of the product.
