When we started editing our film trailer we were using Apple iMovie HD on Mac, as this is what we had available and is the only piece of editing software we have had experience with. After piecing together most of the footage we realised that iMovie HD did not have some of the features we wanted, and felt we needed, to make a satisfactory trailer so we moved our project over to the latest version of iMovie. It took a bit of getting used to as it is so different to the version that we have always used, but we eventually found out how it all worked. We felt the text effects were better than the other version and found one that really suited our style of trailer and worked with the Sci-Fi genre, which will be seen in our finished product.
