We planned that our film would focus on a Superhero, and discussed what different powers he could have. We thought that some powers would be impossible to achieve to a decent standard with the budget and technology we have access to, so the power we thought would be the most effective and we would be able to produce to a good standard was manipulation of the time/space continuum.
As a group, we put our heads together to think of a character that could feature in our trailer with the power of time travel. We thought of using a Superhero stereotype, who would wear a cape, mask and colourful tights – which we thought would be too comedic/immature for the type of message we wanted to convey. Our ideas then merged to create a character with more depth and seemed more grown-up than a Spiderman/Superman kind of character.
We used our time travel concept to establish our character’s cause – which we decided would be to fight crime and solve previously unsolved mysteries throughout time. This led us into the ‘detective’ mould, and with these two themes together we came up with the character of The Time Detective.

this would have worked so much better as a mind map or braistorm - you do not have to write everything in long-hand! I want to see the process/the journey not read essays.
ReplyDeleteI do like the idea though!
